New Food Forum 2026: Accelerating the Future of Food Through Innovation and Collaboration

In 2026, the New Food Forum, organised by ProVeg Czechia, one of ISAAP’s participating organisations, returns as one of Central Europe’s key meeting points for food system innovation — and this time, it does so as an integral part of the ISAAP project (Innovative Strategies to Accelerate Adoption and Consumption of Plant-Based Food).

New Food Forum

Building on its strong legacy, the New Food Forum 2026 will once again bring together food producers, retailers, policymakers, researchers, chefs, innovators, and civil society to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time: how to transform food systems towards sustainability, resilience, and health — at speed and scale.

A proven platform for food innovation

Over the past years, the New Food Forum has established itself as a trusted space where policy, market realities, and innovation meet. The conference has showcased cutting-edge developments in plant-based foods, explored regulatory and market barriers, and created room for honest discussion between actors who rarely sit at the same table.

Previous editions highlighted:

  • Rapid innovation in plant-based meat and dairy alternatives
  • Shifts in consumer behaviour and retail strategies
  • The growing role of public policy in enabling sustainable food choices
  • The importance of cooperation across the value chain — from farmers to processors and retailers

New Food Forum 2026 builds on this foundation, while going one step further.

New Food Forum 2026 within the ISAAP project

As part of the ISAAP project, New Food Forum 2026 plays a strategic role in communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement. The conference serves as a real-world accelerator for ISAAP’s core objectives:

  • Increasing acceptance and consumption of plant-based foods
  • Supporting innovation uptake across food systems
  • Connecting research insights with market actors and policymakers
  • Translating sustainability goals into practical, scalable solutions

What to expect in 2026

New Food Forum 2026 will offer a dynamic mix of:

  • High-level panel discussions on food policy, innovation, and market transformation
  • Case studies from producers, retailers, and food service providers successfully scaling plant-based solutions
  • Startup and innovation showcases, highlighting emerging technologies and business models
  • Cross-sector dialogue, designed to foster cooperation rather than competition

A strong emphasis will be placed on practical implementation — not just what needs to change, but how to make it happen.

Looking ahead

As Europe accelerates its transition towards more sustainable food systems, platforms like New Food Forum are no longer optional — they are essential. New Food Forum 2026 will not only reflect where the food sector stands today, but actively shape where it goes next. Within ISAAP, the conference represents a powerful moment of exchange, visibility, and momentum — turning research, innovation, and collaboration into tangible progress on our plates.
